With artefacts dating back to 2000 BC, the Treasury Exhibition at the Collins Barracks is one of the most important collections in Ireland. The archaeological collections at the National Museum consist of some of the most famous pieces of Irish art: the Ardagh Chalice, Tara Brooch and Cross of Cong. Another side feature of this permanent collection of Ireland's Gold, which contains the finest collection of prehistoric gold artefacts in Europe. The exhibition is also acting as a draw to attract visitors from the National Museum's Kildare Street premises.
